Auditions: ELECTRA

​Sophie Ann Rooney's Electra pulls Sophocles into the present and asks what happens when grief outlasts everyone's patience, and whether justice and revenge were ever different things.

 

The King Black Box in association with Koffler Arts is casting seven roles for Electra, a new adaptation of Sophocles by Michael Goldlist, designed and directed by Sophie Ann Rooney, running March 30 to April 11, 2027 at Koffler Arts, Artscape Youngplace.

 

A true ensemble piece: all roles are equally weighted.

 

Preliminary auditions November 14 and 15, 2026, callbacks November 22.

 

Prepare one contemporary monologue, two minutes maximum. Equity and non-Equity performers welcome. Submission deadline: October 5, 2026.
